Against the fast development of our country, the traditional information isolating method among each medical organization cannot satisfy people's increasing requirements to the medical treatment system services. Learning lessons from SARS, the information construction of medical treatment in our country has been escalated and greatly improved. The internal info system construction of most hospitals reaches to a new level. To build a regional public medical treatment information platform and accomplish the data collection, exchange and share across individual medical systems have become a showstopper issue and the hottest topic in recent medical information research. XML (Extensible Markup Language), known as a cross-plat, consolidated and extensible data standard, featured with its broad applicability compared to other data exchanging technique, provides an appropriate solution to the data standardizing and exchanging between heterogeneous databases. In this thesis, we study and discuss the key technique issues on the medical treatment information sharing based on XML. 1) review traditional information islands integration technique, represent the frame of information islands integration based on XML, and depict its pros and cons; 2) focus on the two technical key points of XML-based information sharing realization–"design and selection of XML data norm"and"XML data transmission method and security"; 3) propose an XML-based data collection and transmission system to achieve data auto-collecting and uploading at hospital end, which is successfully implemented at a local hospital in the civil health system project of Xiamen, therefore testify the feasibility of the solution and discussion in this thesis.
