A study has been made of vignetting of video preprocessing and illumination variation between the images of different views due to the inconsistency of camera parameters in the paper. Based on this, anti-vignetting and illumination compensation are discussed in detail and new solutions are proposed respectively.Anti-vignetting is an algorithm which compensates the illumination attenuation of video due to the inconsistency of camera parameters. Linear model curve fitting is proposed which is based on the analysis of illumination attenuation property. The results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the vignetting effect efficiently. The illumination variation between the images of different views due to the inconsistency of camera parameters between views seriously influences the efficiency of multi-view video coding. Local linear illumination compensation algorithm is proposed in this paper which is based on recent illumination compensation algorithm. Experimental results show that better illumination compensation effect can be achieved by this algorithm and it can further improve the efficiency of multi-view video coding. |
