In recent years, mobile communication is developing dramatically and the number of mobile users becomes much larger with increased requirement of high-speed data transmission. So research on the new generation mobile communication technology has begun. Because of the limited frequency spectrum, it's necessary to schedule and allocate radio resource as optimally as possible for more high-speed data transmission, steady QoS guarantee and various kinds of services. The packet scheduling algorithms shall be proposed to greatly improve the system performance with low complexity. This paper discusses in depth the scheduling algorithms in B3G/4G system and in chapter 2 introduces the LTE system level simulation platform used in this paper. Chapter 3 proposes a reallocation-based enhanced scheduling algorithm which can realize more rational scheduling and optimizing of radio resource with a little increase in complexity. In chapter 4, this paper proposes a capacity-based hybrid MIMO-OFDM scheduling algorithm. It supports higher system capacity when there are a small number of users in a cell and it can perform approximately as excellent as optimized multi-user scheduling algorithm with much lower complexity. Then considering the results of simulation, two ideas have been put forward: a system load-based dynamic scheduling algorithm, and a QoS-based hybrid scheduling algorithm, and their advantages and shortcomings are discussed.
