Scheduling and resource allocation is an important research area in wireless communication.The performance of the RRM algorithm is a key factor that determines the overall performance of the wireless communication system.This thesis researches the RRM algorithm,which can guarantee the user's traffic experience,in the wireless communication system.Given the consideration of cost and feasibility of the system,this thesis will focus on the multi-user scheduling and resource allocation algorithm based on satisfaction criterion in MIMO and OFDM systems.Aim to guarantee the traffic experience of different users,a satisfaction evaluation criterion is proposed.Using the proposed criterion,the user scheduling and beam allocation problem are investigated in various MIMO systems.First,the satisfaction based multiuser scheduling problem is considered in the MIMO system with Random Beamforming technology.Aim to maximize the satisfaction of each user,we propose a multi-user scheduling method based on satisfaction criterion.We also provide an implementation of satisfaction based scheduler in random beamforming system.This scheduler schedules users with joint considerations of the QoS requirement and channel quality of users.Punishment mechanism is proposed here to avoid users occupying too much more resource than its requirement.Simulation results show that the proposed strategy can guarantee users' QoS requirements and exploit radio resource better than existed scheduling methods.Random Beamforming(RBF) and Zero-Forcing Beamforming(ZFBF) are typical BF strategies in multi-user systems.Therefore,besides RBF,we also introduce the satisfaction based scheduling method into ZFBF systems to guarantee all users' traffic satisfaction while achieving high system throughput.Both ZFBF and RBF need the feedback of Channel State Information(CSI).The ZFBF system needs to know the full channel vector of the users',but the RBF system only needs to know the Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR) of user's beam.Therefore,using the users' traffic satisfaction as a threshold,users will be selected to feedback the channel vector or SNR on specified beam.This will lead to remarkable reduction of feedback overhead.At the end,a practicable user traffic satisfaction evaluation model of the VoIP traffic and the real-time video traffic is proposed.This method calculates the user's traffic quality of experience according to the packet loss rate and the packet loss pattern measured in MAC layer.Using the proposed traffic satisfaction evaluation criterion,a satisfaction based packet scheduling and resource allocation algorithm is proposed.The simulation results show that,the proposed algorithm can provide better traffic satisfaction to users while keeping a high system throughput.
