In this paper, we introduce the development of Digital TV. On the basis of explaining technological principle and characteristic of the terrestrial digital TV transmission system, we carry on further investigation on the key technology and equipments of the DVB-T digital TV transmission system and implement it.By some realization and improvement of the circuits in the Digital TV exciter, we implement an asynchronous serial interface based on a software core. Using this core we can reduce the outside circuit of the FPGA, save the space and cost of the print circuit board. We propose an algorithm of realizing over sampled FIR low pass digital filter. We carry out the structure and method of realization based on CSD algorithm. The filter not only meets the performance, but also reduces the complexity of the hardware realization. We also simulate the performance of the Digital TV exciter by simulating in Simulink, and designing, compiling and waveform simulating in Quartusâ…ˇ. By measuring on Logic Analyzer and system experiments, we prove that the exciter can work reliably.We also explain the principle and development of the Digital TV transmitter, study the performance of terrestrial digital TV single frequency network(SFN), and implement the SFN in real network usage.
