Electrostatic filature is a kind of important method to acquire super-thin fiber currently. Its process is that under the impelling of high-tension electric field, macromolecule liquids with a certain viscosity placed in a device with metallic tubule spout. The droplets near the spout will form streamlet like silk by overcoming surface tension. Before arriving to take-over equipment and with the small stream splitting up continuously and evaporation of solutions simultaneously, it becomes electrostatic fiber.In this article, we introduce a method of acquiring instantaneous trace image of high- speed moving electrostatic filament spurting liking "explosion" in high-tension electric field. In order to acquire clear momentary trace image, we choose line-by-line scanning full frame transfer and high resolution area array CCD, a piece of high-speed image acquisition board collecting a single scene image in 1/100000 second. A great deal of groping experiment proved that this method could acquire clear trace image.This topic belongs to the application study on field of machine vision. Machine vision base on PC have high speed, high accuracy, high automation etc. With the improvement of social productivity and industrial automation, its application will be more and more extensive.
