This paper proposes a new method of measurement precision,which is called phase measuring method.Detail introduction is performed for the research on key techniques in laser range finding.It also introduces the development history and the advanced development of phase-shift laser range finding and analyses the tendency of phase range finding technology.The principle and error analyses of phase laser range finding are discussed.Some practical method are introduced to improve the precision and stability of the phase measurement.The design of the miniature phase laser distance gauge is put forward,and also the method to process staistics and phase discrimination is introduced simultaneously.In laser ranging system,the time calibration is the key factor for measuring precision. Based on the chip of TDC-GP1 with high precision time interval measurement,a kind of puled laser ranging system was used in this laser ranging system.The time resolution of 0.125×10-3m,greatly improving the precision of the phase-laser rangefinder.
