The object of this task is to develop a high frequency switching power supply for radar transmitter. At the same time a suit of monitoring and controlling system with perfect function has been designed in order to insure the power supply running safely and steadily.In the thesis, firstly the design request of this power supply is introduced. PFC circuit is used to increase the power supply PF to 98% and the volts d. c. to 400 volt in order to decrease the pollution of power grid and the design difficulty. A project is ascertained in which the IGBT and half-bridge inverter are used as switching component and topology structure respectively. Then the design process of main circuit and control circuit is recounted in detail. Finally, the design thought about detecting circuit and protective circuit is recommended weightily. At the same time a lot of works have been done to analyse and summarize the common means about the detection and protection of circuits. On this basis, a new method of detection and protection on over current is raised.During the development of the switching power supply, the research method includes the theory analysis and the practical experiments. The test result proves that each index achieves the design request. We may achieve the purpose of control and supervision with the simplest device and the most direct way.
