With ultra-short pulse technology in the production and the extensive research in the application of the acquisition ultra-short pulse techniques and methods are attracting increasing attention. And the use of the active-passive mode-locked technique is an important way, it developed a highly efficient and stable active-passive mode-locked Nd: YAG laser is essential.This paper not only in the theoretical aspects of the active-passive mode-locked technique carried out in-depth research. Methods of mode-locked and ultra-short pulse measurement are discussed. On the basis of this developed a full-active mode-locked Nd:YAG laser. This system includes Nd:YAG pulsed laser, water-cooled system, the circulatory dye system, acousto-optic standing wave modulator, Pockels cell system and the corresponding detection system. Successful acquisitive the envelope of mode-locked, a single pulse selected and achieve solid ultra-short pulse laser output and the output characteristics of this laser in detail and performance measurement.
