As a strong tool in the basic and applied science, ultra-short laser pulse plays an important role in several research fields. The key factor of mode-locked technology is to choose steady ultra -short pulse sequence by modulating the phase and intensity.The thesis researched a kind of passive mode-locked laser apparatus. it adjusts the cavity loss using the nonlinear characteristic of the saturable organic dye . when the mode-locked condition is satisfied, the laser can obtain a chain of mode-locked pulses.This thesis narrate the theory and means of mode-locked. Researched the characteristic of the passive mode-locked solid pulse laser. Use pockel cell select single pulse .through the laser amplification and frequency doubling finally we gain an passive mode-locked Nd3+:YAG laser apparatus with high stability and power density. And measured the output characteristic of the laser apparatus. |
