The construction industry is booming with the great development of economy and the progress of urbanization in China. As a great deal of waste is produced during construction, the management system has to be established to recycle and dispose the waste in the right way to reduce the negative impact on the environment. To promote the construction waste management practice, laws and regulations are in great need for guidance, which require scientific evaluation system as their foundation. The present thesis is the result of effort devoted to research on the basic method and practice process of construction project waste management, as well as the evaluation index system and the evaluatin model based on BP artificial neural networks of new construction project waste management.Construction waste management theories, models and government laws and regulations are studied on the basis of many references. The basic methods applied in present practice are discussed, and waste management plan as well as its implementation process for new projects are analyzed in detail. An evaluation index system for evaluation of new construction project waste management is established based on the influencing factors research and an investigation among experts in the construction industy and engineering project management line. The evaluation model based on BP artificial neural networks is established with Matlab software through training and testing on the basis of sample data collected from another investigation, and it's applied to the evaluation of the construction waste management work of a real project and gets proved to be applicable.
