The traditional two-phase commitment protocol is widely applied in the transaction disposal of Distributed Database Management for ensuring atomic nature of the transaction commitment. Two-phase commitment protocol enlarges Local transaction to Distributed transaction and ensuring the atomic nature of transaction commitment as well as consistency. The technology has become industrial standard by reason of simple and practicality. But the traditional two-phase commitment protocol be prone to cause blocking problem that affect performance of two-phase commitment protocol.Have analyzed the characteristic of Distributed transaction, in face of problem and object of Distributed transaction management, and have studied the basic idea and content of traditional two-phase commitment protocol as well as ameliorative edition, then analyzed the disadvantage of traditional two-phase commitment protocol as well as ameliorative edition.Pointing to the disadvantage of traditional two-phase commitment protocol, some solutions have been put forward. These include Amelioration for the communications structure, the protocol arithmetic, the design of finish protocol and recoverable protocol. These solutions allay transaction Blocking and improve the performance of protocol.The ameliorative to two-phase commitment protocol have been compared with traditional two-phase commitment protocol in the malfunction disposal mode. And have analyzed the influence for protocol performance. At last the paper analyzed the validity of the ameliorative two-phase commitment protocol theoretically and has proved the ameliorative two-phase commitment protocol by course algebra.Above all, have put forward whole solution to traditional two-phase commitment protocol about the communications structure, the protocol arithmetic etc. in the article, and have proved ameliorative protocol can improve performance effectively.
