Direction of Arrival(DOA) estimation is an important research subject of array signal processing, the DOA estimation based on array signal processing can realize effective estimation of different signal sources in different directions in the space, it has an important application in such as radar, sonar, active protection system, communication system, smart antenna, etc. The thesis analyses the array signal processing, and studies the DOA estimation algorithms as the core.Firstly, the thesis introduces some kinds of traditional algorithms, signal models and array forms, and does analysis and comparison on some classical algorithms. On the base of traditional DOA estimation algorithms, the thesis studies the High-Order Cumulant signal analysis and processing technology. By analysing extending capability to uniform linear array of MUSIC-LIKE algorithm and using the basic attributes of High-Order Cumulant, the thesis proposes a new array extending algorithm of uniform linear array. Simulation results show that the new algorithm can get the DOA parameters correctly, and decreases the calculation cost effectively.
