Vortex flow meter has been developed speedily since 1970's. Because it has many merits, it is increasingly to be one of the main devices about flux measure and will be widely used in many areas in the future.The intelligent fiber vortex flow meter was studied in this thesis. Based on the fiber transmit-theory and Karman Vortex Street principal, a new type of flux measure device was designed. The thesis consists of three parts including analysis of the theory about fiber vortex flow meter, system hardware and software design.The quantificational relation between the slight change of the light intensity in the fiber and the separate frequency of the vortex was given by the Karman Vortex Street principle and the transmit theory about slight bending of the fiber, and the mathematical model was set up. System hardware design includes the circuit design about the signal collection, the preamplifier, the filter, the wave-deform, the numerical value process, and the display. The module and framework technology was used in the system software design. Moreover, the low power consumes was general considered in the system hardware and software design. Experiment results have shown the fiber vortex flow meter system featured high measuring accuracy, maneuverable and well reliability in the field of petroleum measuring.
