Design And Implementation Of Dynamic-tinning Of Resource Of The DBMS

The performance tuning of DBMS is a very important research subject recent years, There are some success in hardware tuning ,tuning of model of database ,program tuning and DBMS tuning. The self-tuning DBMS become more import .In order to decrease the difficulty of database maintenance and implement self-management of database, This paper researches dynamic-tuning of resource of the DBMS and develops a self-tuning model.Resource tuning is different In different situation , In order to decrease the difficulty of tuning and make the system more practical. The system chooses heavy load and tuning for load as the main targets of the tuning.Automatic tuning model of feedback control loop is adopted. In this model , DBMS gets data about the running system continuously, and then evaluate the parameter If the limit is exceeded, the system change the parameters dynamically to improve the performance of system. A method integration with diagnose and tuning is adopted.From the automatic tuning technology of DB2 system, a major conclusion is that self-tuning database technology should be based on the paradigm of a feedback control loop in fixed condition.
