On The Design Of Visual Communication Design In Teaching Websites

Modern information technology, which is characterized by networking, digitalization ,multi-media and intelligentization, is changing the way of work, life and study of people. And it also brings new opportunity for development in the content and methods of education. With the coming of the 21st century, network education has drawn more and more attention. The teaching website is not only an important part of network information but also the supporting platform of new educational style and study style. So the quality of teaching website will directly influence the development of network education in our country.With the rapid development and popularization of network education, new mode of education has been created, which contributes much to turning out creative talents in response to the demands of the development of knowledge economy. At the same time, it also brings about a new field of design----the web page design of teaching websites.Presently, study on teaching websites in our country is mainly confined to teaching design and technical solution. And the humanized page design hasn't got enough attention. The simple website page design is now far from meeting the needs of higher and higher visual tastes. Website designers in this new era should, under the guidance of the theory of visual communication design, create a pleasant visual environment for learners. In this way, the creative design has been presented more explicitly and such websites also enjoy high value in terms of aesthetics.After searching relevant materials, this paper makes an attempt to give a systematic study on many respects of visual communication design in teaching websites by ways of examples and analogy. And this paper is hoped to prove practical, purposeful and instructional. Though much research has been done on visual communication design and teaching websites design, yet the study on the webpage design in teaching websites from the aspect of the combination of the two is few, which also offers a new idea brought forth in this paper.With many examples, this paper integrates the theory of visual communication design into the design of teaching websites to change the one-sided view of people towards the design of teaching websites. Therefore, it's hoped to build a complete and integral framework for the ideas of teaching websites design and provide feasible reference for the practice of website designers.The first chapter in this paper introduces the concept, function, developmental course and tendency of visual communication design. And it also analyses the aesthetic need for the design of visual communication design in web pages and the design idea and psychological features of it. In chapter two, the role that visual communication design plays in teaching websites is briefly illustrated. And there the deficiencies in the study of visual communication design in teaching websites are also analyzed. In chapter three, based on the relevant theories of visual communication design and the current situation of this design in teaching websites, the design idea of visual communication in teaching websites is put forward. Chapter four is the focus of this paper. By referring to some outstanding teaching websites and taking the educating peculiarity in teaching websites into consideration, it elaborates on the application of visual communication design in teaching websites, and also deep reflection and study on the words, coloring, graphs and format layouts have been done, which is expected to prove practical and referential.In the composition of this thesis, the author participates in the construction of the teaching website called the art of photography while doing research on the theory and practice of visual communication design in teaching websites. It's hoped that certain reference will be provided for the practice of teaching website design and construction and thereby prove valuable both in theory and practice.With the coming of networking era, teaching websites, as a brand new type of teaching resources, will undoubtedly become the focus of study in the future. We will further explore a collection of problems arising in the design of visual communication in teaching websites in an effort to improve the quality of teaching websites.
