| Mobile communication system' s upgrade needs new frequency. Base station antennas are needed to accord with the new frequency. This will increase the number of the base station antennas. The antennas which can be used in several systems not only can decrease the number of the antennas, the interference between antennas and the cost of the antennas, but also can share the old base station with the old antennas. Dual-band dual-polarized antennas are referred, which can fit to the upgrade by dual-band and also can solve multi-track decline, decrease the number of the antennas, reduce the cost of the antennas by dual-polarization.One kind of the corner feeding dual-band dual-polarized antenna is mainly researched in this thesis. The antenna is radiated by multi-layer patches, which will widen the band. The antenna is directly fed by the microstrip to the patches to realize the dual- polarized radiation. Several aspects are referred in this thesis. They are the theory analysis of the microstrip antennas, the research of the isolation of the antennas, the plan of the corner feeding dual-band dual-polarized base station antenna element, the produce and measurement of the corner feeding dual-band dual-polarized base station antenna, the design of the corner feeding dual-band dual-polarized base station antenna arrays. The antenna array will work in the frequency of 870-960MHz of GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) and 1850-2170MHz of PCS (Personal Communication Service) and 3G(Third Generation). The measured isolation between the ports of +45°and-45°polarizations is greater than 30dB and the gain is more than 15dBi in both bands. At last, a plan of the base station antenna detective adapter was researched, which will detect the antenna' s transmitted power, VSWR and power loss.The software of HFSS developed by the company of Ansoft is used when the antenna element are simulated and optimized. The optimized results are the gist of the antenna element model. |
