It had realized transferring between two computers, through writing driver and application base on GTK+ for USB2.0Bridge Cable under Linux. In this article, firstly, it summarized the basic conception of AOS, history of USB, characteristics of USB Bridge Cable and general structure of this article. Secondly, it made a contrast between several different Linux editions which are more popular at present, GNOME and KDE, GTK and Qt. It also simply introduced GCC editor, make programming and CVS version control system. Thirdly, it summarized USB2.0 protocol which contains the structure of USB system and the mode of data communication. Fourthly, it described the classification of devices and module for Linux, method of loading and unloading module, structure of USB subsystem in Linux, concretely step of designing drivers for USB devices. It also described how to write Makefile and shell script for driver. Fifthly, it discussed the method of designing the graphical interfaces base on GTK+, element of realizing the data transfer through calling the driver, and step of transferring the files with this file transfer system. It got the transmission performance of file transfer system, through comparing and analyzing with the accessory software of USB Bridge Cable product base on Windows. Sixthly, it compared several licenses which are used with"free software". Finally, it listed the release form of software packet for Linux.Files had been successfully transferred between two computers through this file transfer system under GNOME desktop environment of FC4, and the average transfer rate is 6.17MB/s. Also, this file transfer system could transfer biggish file which has arrived at 8,390,000TB in theory. Furthermore, this file transfer system has a good portability. It could run in KDE desktop environment of FC4.
