Research On Face Detection Algorithmbased Based On Digital Image Processing

Computer face recognition is a very active area of research in recentyears. Its applications range is very wide, such as identity authentication insafety system, video surveillance, target identification and tracking, as well asfacial expression analysis, age analysis, lip reading and so on. The personface detection of the static colored image is discussed in the paper. Aim at thegeneral colored face image question, the algorithm that unifies the skin colorsegmentation and the template matching is proposed in the paper. Throughusing the person skin color model under the rgb chroma space, carries on theskin color segmentation to the person face image. The skin informationapplication is applied in the person face detection algorithm, its purpose isthat no skin region (namely the region is impossible to have the person face)can be excluded through the skin color prejudgment or the later periodconfirm. The algorithm can achieve these functions such as reduce the searchspace, enhance the detection algorithm efficiency and decrease themisinformation rate. The algorithm can process under the normal state of thepositive face image, also has the very great speed advantage; it can basicallysatisfy the weak real-time application. Therefore, the algorithm has the verystrong practical value in computer person face figure recognition, especiallyin intelligent monitoring aspect.
