technology and communication technology promote multimedia technology and digital entertainment to be popular.Basing on the research on approach for driving cartoon animation by speech or by text, we present an approach for driving cartoon animation by combination of speech and text and its implementation on moving digital entertainment in this paper.(1) An approach for driving cartoon animation by combination of speech and text is put forward. First we build up syllable-viseme set and get 32 basic types of cartoon animation by using unsupervised clustering method for compressing the syllable-viseme set. In the approach time parameters are exactly obtained by syncopating speech with text information, which need not to be trained. Then cartoon animation can be synthesized by uniting the basic types and time parameters. We take 100 text and speech files from movies to test the performance of the approach. The experiments show that the approach is more suitable for driving cartoon animation than that of using text or speech only.(2) Focusing on the motion communication increment service developing direction, this paper presents a set of multi-platform cartoon animation synthesis and broadcast system, which takes the user entertainment and individuality demand as the pattern center. The system uses C/S and B/S two kind of software system structure and separately realizes cartoon animation synthesis, which uses the sources (text, speech, picture) collected from mobile telephone user or browser user.
