XML is a very important Internet skill after HTML, it has a simple format, strong description for itself. It has become a new standard of web data expression, integration and exchange. With the great development of web application, XML data's quantity is prompt increasing. Many foreign and domestic scholars have set forth kinds of XML data's storage and management skill for processing effectively, analyzing and treating XML data. Because of relation data base is one of the most mature data management skills, XML data storage and management skills which based on relation data base is a very feasible and effectively method, and it is widespread attention in the academia. But the natural mismatch between XML document with complex tree form and relation data base with simple, flat framework, making mapping achieve become very difficult, so it becomes a very hot research subject.The paper introduces simply the XML background, basic content, characters; expatiates the relation between XML and relation data base, and the problems present when issuing data in web, the advantages when using XML, and the necessary for set up XML-RDB conversion mechanism. The main content of this paper contains as follows: discussing in-depth for known XML document's relation storage strategy, expatiate various storage strategy's advantage, flaw, adaptability and performance. The research indicates that those typical XML-RDB mapping strategy which set forth at the present time all have limitations, all of those have a common question which is they only care framework mapping , and ignore the constraint relation between them . As a result, making the message of semantic constraint lose. So this paper develops a improved mapping strategy. This mapping strategy achieves the whole mapping and storage of semantic constraint message between DTD and it is based on achieving XML configuration's whole mapping.Java is an programming language which is developed by Sun Microsystems Company. Java have independent operation platform, powerful function for network programming characteristic and so on. JDBC, JDOM, JAXP and otherwise JavaAPI make Java treat with XML data become very simply. We can say that Java is the optimal language for treating with XML. This article achieves the mapping strategy we are research by Java.
