Ultra-wideband (UWB) communication has potential applications in the short-range wireless communication field due to its advantages, such as high date rate, low power spectral density and exceptional multipath immunity. However, its'very wide frequency spectrum and extremely lower power spectrum density as a spectrum sharing technique make it vulnerable from other electronic devices. In addition, in the multipath environment, there exist more serious multiple access interference and inter symbol interference. So the study of interference suppression for UWB system is important and worthy.This paper studies the methods to increase the ability to suppress interference both inside and outside for UWB system. First, after analyzing the performance of UWB in the presence of GSM in frequency domain, we propose a method, which improve the randomicity of the spread-spectrum code and decrease the relativity of the data sequence aiming to smooth the PSD, to improve immunity to outer narrow-band interference for UWB system. Then we study the method of protecting UWB against inner interference. Based on the common detection technique to impress MAI and ISI, we put forward a blind adaptive multiuser detection scheme for DS-UWB without training sequences and the information of path, and improve the used blind arithmetic to overcome the fixed step arithmetic shortcoming. Finally, through simulation, the performance of the proposed detector is compared with other detector and results demonstrate that their performance is close.
