CDMA system is the main access ways of the 3rd generation mobile communication system. However, multiple access interference and near-far effect which CDMA possesses restrict system capability, and multiuser detection is the main measure to resolve these. Recently, blind multiuser detection without requiring training sequences and information of interference users has attracted considerable attention and significant researches. Blind multiuser detection algorithm based on minimum output energy (MOE) can directly and simply achieve the parameter of the detector without estimating channel parameter. The major works of this paper are summarized as follow:1. This paper discusses the basic principle of MOE blindmultiuser detector, and classifies MOE blind multiuser detector as single constraint MOE blind multiuser detector and multiple constraint MOE blind multiuser detector firstly. Moreover, this paper also classifies multiple constraint MOE blind multiuser detector.2. This paper analyzes the RLS algorithm of variable constraint MOE blind multiuser detectors in the current literature. Aimed at the defect of current algorithms, we propose an improved MOE blind multiuser detection algorithm which can avoid the operation of matrix inverse and eigenvalue decomposition. The simulation shows the new algorithm can reach the same or the better performance than the conventional RLS algorithm which makes use of eigenvalue decomposition directly, but the time that the new algorithm spends is less than the conventional RLS algorithm spends.3. Aimed at three types of centralized space-time MOE blind multiuser detectors, we extend the new algorithm that chapter 3 proposes to the space-time domain, and propose three improvedalgorithms, respectively. The simulation shows that the performances of this three centralized space-time MOE blind multiuser detection algorithms are all better than the time-only MOE blind multiuser detection algorithms.
