Basis on analyzing traits of the alignment guiding equipment, providing a research on crawling robot for alignment and guiding instrument,the paper discuss the structure traits and the realizing principle of the research on crawling robot for alignment and guiding instrument. the system's structure model is analyzed, designed and fabricate a prototype is carried out to test. the main researches are as follows:①After reading a great deal of papers on the crawling robot, presenting a developing current and trend of the research on the crawling robot, Providing a research on crawling robot for alignment and guiding instrument basis on the importance of the guiding drive equipment.②the movement principle, drive way and form structure of the research on inchworm crawling robot instrument is researched by system. technology problems related to the body development of crawling robot are discussed on detail.③A passive and self-jamming safety protect equipment is designed for crawling robot, this equipment is carried out theory analyse and mechanics calculate.④A crawling robot prototype is carried out by the PLC as a control core,and the capability experiment of the crawling robot is researched on the test plane.And the experiment analysis indicate that the research on crawling robot for alignment and guiding instrument equipment has basically met the design requirements, the equipment bas structure simply, control easily and stability.
