| With the maturation of the 3G wireless communication technologies and its commercial use, those beyond 3G technologies became the main targets of the technology researches and standardization researches. In order to playing the leading role in the beyond 3G Wireless communication area, both the international and internal organizations are all organizing many projects which aim to do research on these beyond 3G technologies. Among these projects, some are aiming at the market and commercial standardization. These projects include the following: 3GPP LTE ( Long Term Evolution) project, IEEE 802.16 D/E WiMax project, 3GPP2 AIE (Air Interface Evolution) project. At the same time, ITR 8F is also busy promoting the spectrum arrangement of the beyond 3G wireless communication system.This research project is a pre-research work belonging to the China Academy of Telecommunication Research of the Ministry oflnformation Industry. It mainly targets at the E3G wireless communication network. In this project, we designed and implemented the E3G simulation platform according the papers of the 3GPP conferences. Based on this simulation platform, we done researches on the main technologies of the E3G system and system performances through simulation method. Those work established the base for making the standardization of the next generation wireless communication system.The mainly tasks covered by this paper come as follow:(1) Analysed the condition of the current wireless communication system through reading papers and the 3GPP conference reports. Designed the architecture of the E3G simulation platform according to the 3GPP LTE requirements. (2) Designed and implemented the E3G wireless communication system simulation platform according to the 3GPP technical reports. The platform mainly includes three parts: the link level simulation platform, the system level simulation platform and the L2S (link to system) interface.(3) Done research on the patterns of the pilot and pilot-assistant channel estiomation of the OFDM and MIMO-OFDM system based on the simulation platform.(4) In the end, the author concluded the paper and proposed the following research works needing to done in the future. |
