The Design For The Triplexer Over EPON

FTTH is the ultimate access way for the access network and must be the trend to the network development . The Passive Optical Network (PON) will be the perfect way to realize FTTH , then the EPON will be the best technology to finish that . Nowadays , the department of radio and television is faced with many problems and EPON over HFC is the best way to conquer that , which also decide the way for the access network.EPON is based on Ethernet protocol and with RF Overlay EPON it can transfer TDM , video and data through one fiber . This is called Triplex and the triplexer that can receive analog signals and receive/transmit digital signals is the key in the design .In this paper , first we study the theory and key technology of EPON. Then we analyze the HFC network and describe the difference between them. We construct the network model about EPON over HFC and analyze the key parts in that . Last we finish the design and drawing of the circuit diagram .
