Design And Implementation Of Key Performance Indicators Module In Telecom Management And Analysis System

As the gradual development of information construction build for telecom operators and build for enterprise Business Support System, each telecom operator has built a good data warehouse system step by step, and has made business data analysis, data mining and applications above the system to provide some decision-making support for the enterprise managers. However, the old analysis pattern, which is based on each application system, cannot meet the needs now or in the future any more, because the number of application support systems is increasing and the business complication is enhancing. People who are making decisions in the company hope that there's a uniform and laconic platform to find out the situation of the company operation. So, establishing a strong Key Performance Indicators (KPI) System is becoming one of the most important works in the construction of Telecom Management and Analysis System in big telecom operators. And it meets the exigent needs of improving their operations and expending their operation business.The main research work of this paper is briefly generalized as follows:1. Introducing the structure and business characteristics of Telecom Management and Analysis System, which are based on data warehouse technology;2. Analyzing the important meaning, the principle and the approach to build KPI module in Telecom Management and Analysis System;3. Discussing how to use data warehouse technology and popular software framework technology to design and implement KPI module in Telecom Management and Analysis System.The research fruit of this paper has applied in KPI module of second period Telecom Management and Analysis System of some telecom operators in China, and the application effect is good, and this application experience will bring a useful way to build other decision-making applications in the whole data warehouse.
