Interactive System is an important expressible form of Distribute Interactive Simulation (DIS) System. It is defined that computing elements which are status-equal and location-distributed are connected with each other by a media, can transfer the interactive data. A sole computing element is the manager and controller of those mentioned above, and sometimes a group of computing elements does this job. Both two types of the computing elements constitute the whole system which can implement some simulations or operations together. The Interactive System Based on Networks is a utility that can transfer data with high speed among different computing elements by using networks as media, and make them an integrated system which considered interactive. As an expressible form of DIS, flexibility and expansibility are the main characteristics of Interactive System Based on Networks which are different from others. When it comes to implementing a simple function or a small-scale simulation, especially those that are more real-timed and expansible, the software is more effective, and it can availably organize and manage the subsystem in the networks, and make the whole system high-speed running, harmonious and consistent.Deviate from current DIS systems development with mature commercial Run Time Infrastructure (RTI), the Interactive System Based on Networks studied in this paper is developed by fully using the object-oriented method and the thoughts of three-layer-separating derived from RTI. Therefore, the points this paper pays more attention to are the development from transfer layer to application layer without additional plug-in, and some of the key technologies derived from the developing process of the Interactive System Based on Networks. At last, an Interactive System of Vehicle Driving Simulator Based on Networks is built up to indicate the availability of the key technologies which are described as follow:1) The concept of Interactive System Based on Networks and its current research situation at home and abroad are introduced, and so do both the hardware and the software of vehicle driving simulator, especially the part of the vehicle driving simulator's software and its characters.2) According to functional requirement of the Interactive System of Driving Simulator Based on Networks, the establishment of network service module is analyzed. RakNet, a free C++ UDP based network library, is introduced to design and implement the network service module which is the infrastructure of whole interactive system.3) How to filter the useless data transferred by network service module in interactive system is described. According to the analysis and the comparing about advantages and disadvantages of several current DR models in use, a modeling theoretical principle and a method on how to set up a DR model with a self-adapting threshold based on visual range are proposed. Some corresponding instances are established, and the results of them are also given.4) The problem of space-time consistency in the Interactive System of Vehicle Driving Simulator Based on Networks is proposed. To solve this must begin with those aspects, a synchronous clock in the whole system and a synchronous model between computing elements connected by networks. According to the kernel of synchronous arithmetic used in current networks-game, and the functional requirement of whole system, a synthesized synchronous model is designed to synchronize all the computing elements.
