Active magnetic bearings (AMBs) make rotor suspended in the middle of stator by magnetic force. It is a typical kind of mechanical and electrical equipment. Comparing with the traditional bearing, AMBs have many advantages of non-friction, non-abrasion, no lubricated, lasting life, maintenance-free. However, in addition to the part of the machine, the control system is very important for AMB system, the nature of it affects the static and dynamic performance of AMB system. In this paper, five-freedom-degree AMB with sensor is researched, the electromagnetic parameter and hardware plateform is designed, and the mathematics mode bad been elected. Base on the advanced control hardware plateform, the traditional algorithm and the Fuzzy PID control algorithm are discussed. The main contents of this paper are follows:The structure and the relation of five-freedom-degree AMB are described in details. By the principle of the electromagnetic theory and desire of designation, the main electromagnetic parameter is calculated. It provides important base of theory for realization of electromagnetic parameter.According to feature and designing desire of AMB, the hardware planform is made. With the peripheral equipments of grouping signal regulation, DA, SCI, data reseavation, etc, the core of handware system is DSP with well performance. The hardware provide good plateform for algorithm.Based on the studying of Power Amplifier's property, the designation plan had bringed up. The circuit of Power Amplifier had been designated, meanwhile, the stallment and debugging also accomplished. This system evelated the perporty of safe and steabilty and reduce capitalized cost.On the basis of mathematics mode deduced in the paper, the study of AMB control algorithm has been developed. The continuous PID and the PID have been set up. Based on the control model of the single-freedom-degree, the Fuzzy PID control algorithm has been discussed on the requirements of the fact to perform the well control of AMB.
