Temperature measurement has become more and more important in the recent industry, science and safety domain. In some specific applications such as intense electromagnetism interfere, flammable and explosive conditions, strong erode conditions, etc, the traditional temperature measurement technique based on electricity can hardly fulfill the requirement. However, temperature sensor which uses fiber optic technique has its particular advantages. Fiber optic sensors have their own characteristics and apply area according to the different realization means.This Dissertation has a strong practical application project background. It focuses on the application of one type of point fiber temperature sensor which principle of point measurement technique is the temperature effect of GaAs crystal absorptivity, according to the different application environment and requirement. In order to make the point temperature fiber optic sensor go out of the lab, it should satisfy the client's requirement and maintain the lowest cost to the greatest extent.Through the constant improvement of probe package and analyze the factors that effect the stability of optical source in detail, this dissertation has overcame two problems that hinder the practical applications which are the applications of the point probe and the stability of source.It produced an applicable testing system. Through the measurement and analysis, this testing system has a precision of 0.5°C and resolution of 0.2°C. Thanks to the microprobe design, the responding speed can compare to mercury thermometer.By the study of the practical application, it makes this point temperature sensor go to the practical application stage in realization. At present, it is being used on the high voltage tank, and the feedback of our client is quite good. In general, after experiment measurement testing and probation, this point temperature testing system responses quickly and has good time stability. What's more, it also has advantages such as anti-corrosion of liquid, simple structure, not easily damaged. So that it meets the specific application and has good value of popularization.
