The acquisition and processing of phonetic signal are used widely in the fields of network,teleconu industrial control and so on. It needs higher speed of phonetic signal acquisition system and higher working precision. The USB2. 0 interface is a computer interface that meets the need of phonetic acquisition, which has the advantages of high transfer-rate, hot plug and play, less resource requirement, being easily extended and used. At present, many peripheral devices of computer use USB interface to accomplish data communication with computers. Nowadays, DSP takes an increasing role in the phonetic signal processing on account of its particular superiorities.The thesis combining USB and DSP technology design a high-speed phonetic acquisition system. It chooses TI company's TMS320C6713 as a master controller to acquire and process the phonetic data.and then transfer high-speedly the data to computer by CY7C68001 which is a USB2. 0 CMOS chip. The thesis finished the design of the software and hardware, lastly it did the testing experiment which indicated that the USB interface worked normally and was used expediently. It' s more high-speed,higher real-time and higher price compares compared with the traditional phonetic acquisition card.For the hardware circuit design of the card, the thesis presented the conceptual frame of phonetic data acquisition system and expanded the principle of phonetic signal acquisition card, designed the hardware scheme circuit of the system and produced the PCB board using the PADS2005 which is a EDA tool. It' s expatiated that the main chips used in the phonetic acquisition card,the main modules of hardware circuit,the CPLD logic design and the PCB design and so on. For the software design of the phonetic acquisition system, firstly the CY7C68001' s firmware program was developed based on the research of the USB2.0 protocol and It's successful to complete the communication between the CY7C68001 and the DSP. Secondly based on WDM The USB device driver is designed which is used to access and control hardware. Lastly the application program is designed to provides users with interface which is convenient for the users to control the acquisition card and check the run-time result.
