Taking the design of the industry on-line state detection Data Acquisition System as example, the paper discusses the main processes on the software and hardware design based on DSP and USB.With the industrial environment more and more complicated, the easiness and simpleness of the monitoring industry environment equipment are becoming more and more important. The nuclear technique is data-acquisition and system-analysis in all kinds of supervisory devices. According to widespread data acquisition project, this paper puts forward a new data acquisition project based on USB and DSP.The background is introduced in the paper, the feature of data acquisition object is analyzed. The design of system hardware circuit and USB firmware and dirver programming are expatiated in detail. Linear Predictive Coding in phonetic signal processing on DSP is introduced as well.Based on the research achievements of traditional data acquisition system, the paper accomplishes all the step of developments based on DSP and USB, giving a detailed design document from total project, hardware circuit, software program, performance test...etc. The main work is described as follow:1. Collecting and reading the domestic and international reference documents, on the base of the function and characteristics of the universal serial bus, choosing PDIUSBD12 as interface chip, followed by hardware design and firmware and driver design.2. Applying LPC data compress technique, under the control of DSP, realizing super-speed transmission in data.
