Since the 90' s of 20th century , Internet and mobile communication techniques have got rapidly developed in Information domain, and this two kinds of technology also support effective accessing of mass information resources and personal communication with freely rambling. With popularization of cellular telephone and network stepping into people' s life increasingly, the demand of network communication is becoming higher and higher, and people are expectiong to communicate with each other under 5W(WHOERVER, WHENEVER. WHEREEVER, WHOMEVER, WHAT -EVER) conditions, and the requirement of this expectation promotes the mergence and infiltration of computer and communication techno -logy, also constantly improves the mobile communication and Internet technology. So wireless network emerges as the times require, it overcomes some lack of tradition network technology , and truly reflects the demands of 5W. With wireless network cellular telephone can access Internet as terminal, and the application protocol criterion of implementing that is WAP(Wireless Application Protocol).By this technology, no matter where and when you are , only if you need information, you can turn on your WAP mobile telephone, and then you can enjoy the endless information and resource on network, such as: comprehensive news, weather report, stock information, exchange rate. Following the development of business on network, electronic business and bank on-line can be realized in the coming future.In this paper, firstly the architecture of WAP protocol is introduc -ed, emphasizes the principle and mechanism of the core protocol layer of this protocol-WTP (Wireless Traction Protocol) and WSP(Wireless Session Protocol) layer in details, and their respective implement -ation approach and process are also given. Secondly the WML parser is studied , morphological analysis function of it is realized. Thirdly a graphic user interface is designed with Qt, and the contents processed with WML parser are shown with it. Then the network communication is implemented with Linux socket API, and the resources in desk top server can be accessed. In the end , the graphic user interface designed is transplanted onto embedded developing platform xscale pxa270.For the release of license of 3G, the increment operation such as WAP should must be attached importance to again, this thesis has the special meaning in the field of WAP application technology in our country.
