| Abstract The Internet nowadays is developing in the ascendant with a high speed, in which a great number of violent languages appear in a great scale, such as"cat abusing","tongxu gate". Facing such widely-used language violence, someone call them"the Internet Bigcharacter Poster" which makes us nerve tense on guard, by relating them to the Bigcharacter Posters during the Cultural RevolutionThe researcher has made an archaeological investigation to Internet Bigcharacter Posters. Before 1840, Confucianism played the leading role in our country, and the language kept pure. However, with the beginning of social modernization, Confucianism has undergone a big shock, and there was a serious collision between Chinese traditional culture and western culture, which had a deep influence on original language system. With the help of newspapers and magazines in modern time, the form of language began to change since the political essays. Between the time of revolutionists and conservatives'debate, the clue of violent language has already been found, with the destruction of the original elegance and gentleness. The Movement of Vernacular Writing, the first language revolution in China, has completely changed the leading role of the classical Chinese. But since the modern language standard norm has not been established, Vernacular Writing became the weapon of thoughts'revolution, and the vulgarization of the language was already obvious for it contained a great number of western and lower classes'phrases. During this period, the left wing literature, of which Lu Xun was the representative, has produced big influence to the construction of discourse thereafter, and especially his text has been considered as the model in China.By the realization of process of literature politicization in the time of Yen'an Rectification Movement on Literature and Art, the revolutionary discourse has been called the main trend discourse in revolutionary base areas, and soon took the nationwide dominant position with the revolution of the whole country. After the year 1949, the left-leaning thoughts developed so quickly that it pushed the use of violent and political language to its limits, and finally formed Bigcharacter Posters. During the period of the Cultural Revolution, Bigcharacter Posters turned to be overrun.After the Cultural Revolution, Bigcharacter Posters kept alive and turned to be political since it was not been destroyed yet. The rise of Red Classics indicates that traditional political discourse could still kept live a strong life in modern society, and the violent language gained its way to develop on the Internet since the after-modern narrating way fits the need of net language. Moreover, the violent language has provided the validity to the Internet ones. Internet Bigcharacter Posters finally come into being with the fact that great deals of public opinion are pushed to the Internet by the increasingly complicated social contradictions.This paper holds the view that the form of Internet Bigcharacter Posters and their discourse just reflects the process of the social power changing in China. Among those one is the thoughts power, concerning mainly the power changing between Confucianism, Western Liberalism and Marxism; the other is the political power, for language violence is just something extend and makeup of the revolutionary violence, and it just show this expression in such modern society which the revolutionary violence can not be existed. The language violence is something more than simple violence, with people's deep anxiety and the thoughts of Utopia. The language violence form its way through the process the modernization in the country, and the anxiety cause by the modernity counts to be the root of the violence. As a kind of existence, the anxiety has also dragged the language violence to the reality.The Internet Bigcharacter Poster has turned a new page in history, new riffraff time in another word. The power of crowd should not be underestimated in modern time. |
