Intrusion Detection For Wireless Ad Hoc Networks Based On Routing Information

With the rapid increasing of wireless network andmobile computing,the wireless networks' safety becomes more important. As a effectivemethod of protecting networks' safety, the application of Intrusiondetection has extended from fixed wired networks to wireless mobilenetworks. Due to the different network characteristics and transmissionmedia, intrusion detection techniques used in wired networks are not wellapplied in mobile Ad Hoc networks.First of all, the paper describes the characteristics of wireless adhoc networks and intrusion detection techniques, improve a new wirelessad hoc networks intrusion detection system, put forward the frameworkof system and improve a new algorithm for dividing clusters in details.Then, faced many attacks against Ad Hoc network, the paper especiallystudy on resource depletion attacks, improve the defend tactic andalgorithm and advance a new strategy combining priority and buffer control.Furthermore, this strategy module has been designed and implemented inthe experimental system.Finally, the paper summarize the research done by the author and lookforward the future of Intrusion Detection for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks.
