Telecommunication is one of the important industries in China. As the country economy development, the telecommunication industry makes more contributions to our national economy than before. Nowadays, the competition of telecom industry becomes more and more rigorous in China. Meanwhile, all of the telecom company extends investments in information management system.The BOSS system is a key support system to telecom vendors. And it is also a major project for all of the vendors. So it is very necessary to enhance the BOSS system's availability. According to the requirements of Chongqing mobile BOSS system, the high-availability cluster for the servers is designed and implemented in the dissertation.In this dissertation, the BOSS system's development is introduced firstly. Then the application, investment and construction are analyzed. The significance of the BOSS system's stability is discussed. And the improvement of the reliability and the usability of BOSS system based on cluster are also discussed in the dissertation.The different topology architectures of cluster are compared and analyzed in the dissertation. And the basic operation frame of Chongqing Mobile BOSS system are investigated and analyzed, such as application function, requirement for computer hardware performance, disk array's capability, system's I/O, networks'topology architecture, IP address'planning, database and so on. Then a high-availability cluster with three nodes architecture is presented for Chongqing Mobile BOSS system.According to the BOSS'characteristic and the requirements in reliability, the plan of High-availability cluster with three nodes are designed. And the hardware configuration and software selection are designed in detail. In this cluster system, Chongqing Mobile BOSS system is divided into three resource groups, that is support resource management group, support business process group and range process group. Each resource group has a special logical IP address, a physical share disk storage space, a specialty database and its application program. Each resource group can freely switch among the cluster's three nodes. In addition, to improve the BOSS system's reliability, the host computer's hardware are designed redundantly such as power supply, I/O broad, network card and fabric card linking disk array. Otherwise, it adopts raid 5 and raid 1 technology to ensure disk array data's safety. The large tape warehouse and network data backup software are applied in system's data backup.It can be proved in application that the BOSS system based on high-availability cluster with three nodes can switch in different nodes while the plan or no-plan downtime. The high-availability cluster with three nodes can decrease the no-plan downtime and guarantee the high availability for Chongqing Mobile BOSS system.
