In the world of Internet technologies, peer-to-peer(P2P)solutions are currently receiving considerable interest. Main application of P2P Including: peer-to-peer computing, collaboration work, file sharing and search engineer etc. Among them, the collaboration work means the peers form a peergroup in order to finish a certain particular task, they share resources, communicate simultaneously, the user in the collaboration system can send information to several users in the same moment. In the collaboration system, we must have identity authentication based on identification, the user pass the authentication could visit the shared resources. In the collaboration system website and resources may be separated, so the users are in different organizations or AS, they must be able to carry on mutual authentication, set up a unique and legal identity of authentication for system users. So it is an important subject for research on how to establish believable cooperation relation through the authentication method and how to realize the authentication of the multimedia data.Starting wih the practical requirements of P2P collaboration work,this paper gives an analysis on the current work of digital watermarking related to the multimedia authentication theory. The main achievement herein includes three odd following respects.1.Combines the security feature of JXTA platform, in order to meet the dynamics of P2P and improve the working efficiency, we utilize digital watermarking technique to information authentication, adopt the algorithm embedding an watermark to spatial domain of image so as to prevent the deceit of the third party and guarantee the integrality of information at the same time.2. Proposed a digital watermark authentication algorithm which is suitable for the colore image authentication.3.Proposed a information authentication system based on the digital watermarking and digital signature, and carries on detailed security analysis.Then, we can know that what mostly characterize the algorithms presented in this paper are combines the security feature of JXTA platform with digital watennark in P2P collaboration work environment. It's also suggeste that the research on multimedia data authentication should aim at concrete situation. It's undoubtedly that designing the watermark scheme based on watennark and digital signature should be promising.
