Traffic Monitoring And Analyzing Of Broadband Network

How to manage internet orderly has been given enough attention by people with the wide application of internet. Network traffic monitoring is the important part study of network management. The data of network traffic provides significant information for running and maintaining network, and is also important to the distributing of network resources, programming of capabilities, analyzing of service quality and managing of security. It is an effective method to research traffic characteristic and analyze network status of Internet.This paper starts with the demand and meaning of the measurement of network traffic. Firstly, we analyze and sum up the internet traffic measurement principles, concept, sorts, standards and the present technologies, then traverse Net flow technology of Cisco. On the basis of this, we also lucubrate the IPFIX protocol. Finally, we timely monitor traffic of Wuzhou broadband network using MRTG tools, and analyze the results. Meanwhile, we present an improved monitoring network method of using MRTG tools.
