CDMA2000 system is one of the primary systems of 3G, CDMA2000 1X system is the theoretical and technical foundation of CDMA2000 and contacts with the posterior systems tightly. Wireless network optimization means to gather parameters, analyze data and research on technologies of the network, find the reasons affect the running qualities, in order to make network on its best state and make resources get the highest benefit through adjusting parameters and taking some improved technologies. Based on the relevant knowledge of mobile communication and network optimization, this dissertation makes a deep research on wireless network optimization of CDMA2000 1X system connecting with the new technologies such as Smart Antenna, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and ultra wide-band (UWB).The main research contents of this dissertation are recapitulated as follows:1. The primary systems and techniques of 3G are systematically introduced through gathering literatures, the standard evolution, network performance and the key techniques of physical layer of CDMA2000 are emphasized, and the concept, classification, flow of network optimization and the network optimization of CDMA2000 1X system are studied and generalized.2. The preparatory work, major contents, system status diagram and practical cases of engineering optimization are introduced. The reasonability and validity of the parameter adjustment scheme are verified by comparing the figures of drive-test data.3. Aiming at the technology optimization of voice service, the smart antenna technology is chosen to be a breakthrough and the simulation and comparison of chip-based and symbol-based adaptive structure are made. Then multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm and estiamating signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques (ESPRIT) algorithm of direction of arrival (DOA) estimation are simulated and compared. The union application of smart antenna and auxiliary pilot in CDMA2000 1X is researched and simulated, the improved call processing is also analyzed.4. Aiming at the technology optimization of data service, hybrid time division multiple access (HTDMA) protocol is introduced and compared with the existing three random access protocols. A new multi-users scheduling algorithm in MIMO system is analyzed and demonstrated that it can approximate optimal throughput and has lower computational complexity. Finally the compatible standard between CDMA2000 1X system and UWB equipment is discussed and the modified UWB emission limit standard is deduced by simulation.
