Virtual Enterprise (VE) is the management enterprise schema and competition strategy of 20 century, in which member enterprises can share resources, realize predominance complementation and agilely response to market chance, and multi-win of cooperation enterprises can be realized. Many researchers and far-sighted companies attach importance to VE, and it has wide application and development foreground. VE is constructed on the open Internet, and involves a large amount of information, resources, contexture and benefit of cooperation enterprises and their relationships. The security problems, such as how to guarantee massive information to be securely transmitted between member enterprises, how to make sure of the legal sharing of the resources and how to carry on identity authentication of users, are the key problems which must be solved in the process of VE going to practical application stage. Therefore, constructing an open information security model of VE, which can ensure safety to provide well information environment for member enterprises to cooperate with each other, has become the research hotspot in VE field and the core problem that must be solved in the running of VE. This paper according to the information security requirements of VE at present, researches on the design of security architecture and its security management mechanisms, and information security model of VE.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, the theory of Agent and information security techniques, such as cryptographic technique, identity authentication technique, and role-based access control technique, are introduced. The advantages of applying MAS in VE are summarized. And the feasibility of these three information security techniques used to construct information security model of VE is pointed out.Secondly, organizational structure and functional architecture of VE are researched combining Agent technology. The Agent-based organizational structure and functional architecture of VE are given. Based on this, aiming at the actuality that there are few researches about the information security of VE and no complete information security framework, security architecture of VE based on Agent is constructed and its security management mechanisms are researched.Thirdly, according to the security architecture of VE proposed above, based on the related security standard, security mechanism and authorization encryption techniques, a relatively complete information security model of VE is proposed. Emphasis is put on the study of information communication security between VACC (Virtual Affairs Cooperative Center) Agency and ME (Member Enterprise) Agency, and the commerce business security. Role-based access authorization and RSA algorithm with 3DES algorithm encrypting communication process are used to guarantee the communication security between VACC Agency and ME Agency. Based on commerce business secure protocol using SET paying, double signature technique is used to encrypt order and account number, by which the security problem of sensitive information relayed by merchant can be solved.Finally, main functions of this information security model are simulated. Role distribution of ME Agency is realized by Visual C++ 6.0 and SQL Server. And secure communication between ME Agency and VACC Agency is simulated by two PCs connected through the Internet communicating, In the simulation, two PCs can authenticate each other's identity and carry on secure communication. Thereby, the authentication of member enterprise, privacy and integrality of data transmission between enterprises in VE can be guaranteed.
