The application of virtual human in the field of engineering can be extended to all the periods of product lifecycle, which takes an important part in the digital product lifecycle management, so that it has very important research value. In the application of engineering, highly accuracy, as well as certain reality is very vital requirement for virtual human. Accuracy is that virtual human should be modeled based on anthropometry data, while reality is that virtual human should keep actual under their resting, furthermore, according to the human body's motion rules under the moving state. so as to improve the reliability of ergonomics. At present, the virtual human commonly used in the engineering can present good accuracy, whereas the reality is low. This thesis aims at keeping the accuracy of the virtual human model's anthropometry data and the reality of representation. There is a problem by the 2order NFFD deformation algorithm, for which this thesis proposes a simplified 3order NFFD algorithm. By formulating the setting of the arrangement of control point lattice, the mapping relationship between the parametric coordinate and the surface vertex of limbs comes definite, this method simplifies the process of resolving the parametric coordinate. The experimental result indicates that this method can realize realistic skin deformation of human limbs when meet the need of real-time performance. This thesis implements the realistic skin deformation of the limbs by the Barr and 2rd order NFFD algorithm, based on which an error model of the virtual human anthropometry has been proposed, then a new method of the skin deformation based on the constraint of anthropometry error model is developed, in which the deforming control point lattice can be computed automatically by the position of anthropometry site, therefore implementing the deformation of the limbs, at the same time anthropometry data error can stay in a permissible bound. The experimental result indicates that this method not only fulfils the requirement of the anthropometry accuracy, but also implements the realistic and accurate skin deformation of the limbs. At last, a system is built for validating the skin deformation method which is based on the Anthropometry data.
