Research And Implementation On The Connectivity Testing Of Network Management

With the increasing of scalability and complexity for computer networks, each node in the network has been difficult to be managed. Through network connectivity testing between nodes, managers can not only gain the network performance parameters, but also find out the working state of the links either ineffective or slowly by the obstruction on the basis of these data, and make precise positioning to the connectivity failures between user's nodes. Thus, network failures can be quickly preserved.In this paper, we introduce the basic theory of network management and architecture of Integrated Cluster Network Management System (ICNMS) . Then we discuss the roles and functions of network connectivity testing technology.. Finally we research the implementation on network connectivity testing, discussed ICMP agreement, Arp agreement, TCP/UDP port scanning technology, sniffer fishing kits technology in the application of network connectivity testing; to balance the load of the probe process, Raised the three network connectivity testing algorithms that triangle law, dichotomy, the average testing law; to more clearly understand the direct operation of the Internet, designed for the link state health rating formula. Soft Probe is a network connectivity testing tool. Its main function is to achieve network-wide connectivity test, to gain network performance parameters of network links, and to assess the links' state.
