The Application Of Cryptology In Digital Right Management System

With the extensive application of Internet and the improvement of the streaming media compression technology, the digital music, photos, videos, books and games are widely spread on Internet. Although the DRM technology is currently being developed rapidly and great progress has been achieved, there are still two problems ignored on technology. One problem is the privacy protection of user is not fully emphasized, usually the user's identity is not protected when issuing the certificate, which causes the user's identity to be disclosed easily. However, a user's identity should be anonymous instead of being exposed to the public while he or she is using the digital product legally. The other problem is the problem of "forward security" in the current key management is seldom introduced into the DRM system design.Based on the two above-mentioned ignored questions, this paper employs the two algorithms of electronic cash technology to improve the DRM system, and proposes a new algorithm for DRM, which effectively solve the two above-mentioned problems.
