| Grid provides the sharing and computing collaboration of resources of computing, storage, communications, software, information, knowledge in dynamic, heterogeneous, distributed resources.The grid system is dynamic, so users can't predict the capability of resources which will provide services to it.To provide good grid QoS, the most important thing is to provide good gird resource management method.The scheduling of the resources is the key technology of the management of grid resources which is the core component of grid. It is the one of the pop and difficulty problems in grid computing research field.The efficiency of grid resource scheduling is important. It means scheduler must submit tasks to the most suitable resources and reduce the leisure situation of resources.To reach the goal above, the scheduler need to get the attribute of the resources. These attribute contains static aspect and dynamic aspect. The former contains computing, storage, communication capability. The latter means the diversification characteristic the former in the process of the scheduling.The grid resource reliability is not only correlated to the static attribute of it but also presents the dynamic attribute of it. So, the grid resource reliability affects the efficiency of grid resource scheduling a lot and can't be avoided. It is a good way to research how to improve the efficiency of grid resource scheduling by considering the impact of resource reliability in grid resource scheduling.The current correlative research on the impact of resource reliability in grid resource scheduling mainly contains application oriented resource scheduling, system oriented resource scheduling, market oriented resource scheduling and resource scheduling based on resource credit. But they just consider one or two aspects of resource reliability which contains static attribute of resource and the deadline of executing tasks. The continuous stability of services provide by resources is not consider more so far.The continuous stability of services provided by resources is the most important aspect of grid resource reliability and can't be ignored in resource scheduling., If the services provided by resources is not continuously stable (we call it resource service interruption in the paper), the users will be impacted a lot even though the execution of a task can be completed before deadline. So, we must pay attention to the whole process of execution of tasks to avoid the resource services interruption.An evaluation model of the reliability of gird resource and its corresponding scheduling model and scheduling algorithm is presented based on interruption of resource services. It can evaluate the values of the reliability of gird resources based on the history service interruption information of resources in process of resource scheduling and let the tasks submitted by users be executed by more reliable resource. Considering the disadvantage of the evaluation model and through setting service interruption rate variable, we analyzed the cause of the disadvantage of the model by an instance. To improve the disadvantage, a Slippage Period method is presented which let the resource reliability value avoid the bad effect of long time history service interruption information. The Slippage Period method also simplifies the computing work of resource history information statistics and save the storage space of resource history information records. Then, the improved scheduling algorithm based on the Slippage Period method is presented. At last, we made a simulation experiment by the simulation tool GridSim. Through the analysis of the result data of the experiment, we proved the feasibility and validity of the evaluation model of the reliability of gird resource in grid resource scheduling. |
