Web service provides a new solution for realizing business processamong different platforms, which has become a hot problem in distributedcomputing. The thesis'key works mainly focus on three aspects.Web service description language (WSDL) only cares syntaxdescription at service interface, but lacks Hsemantic informationH, whichlimits the development and application of the Web service. The authorstudies the method of annotation in Web service description document:through relative ontology, relative elements of WSDL has been expanded, and thus annotation can be added in Web service description document, achieving the purpose of descripting the Hsemantic informationH of WebserviceCombining the annotation and traditional services-oriented architecture, the author suggest a new semantic-oriented web services architecture. Thesemantic Annotation and the mediator consist of the characteristics of thesuggested SSOA. The semantic Annotation annotates WSDL documents bydomain ontology, which forms WSDL-S documents. The data mediatorcoordinates data isomerism and dealing with mismatch problems of twoservices in operation. The interface problem of the interaction is solved, and completeness and precision of service discovery are improved. Themodel is composites by Hloosely coupledH components that can be exploitedand protected by the third party and can be freely inserted into the systemor removed from the system..Ontology is one of the main semantic description methods. Annotationcannot survive without the construction of domain ontology. The author, inview of soft engineering and already existed method of ontologyconstruction, suggests an appropriate method of ontology constructionfitted for engineering thought——helix model of prototype ontologyconstruction. It starts the existed ontology and highlights the gradualevolution of the ontology. In the process of evolution, experts'anticipationis emphasized. The organizing combination of the both ensures thecorrection and completeness. Stimulation experiments are carried out by using WSMO Studio in WSMO environment, and services'completeness and precision of the traditional SOA and SSOA are analyzed and compared. The experimental results show that both the completeness and precision of the latter's are higher than the formers'At last, conculsions and outlooks of the thesis are drawed and some aspects needed to be improved are discussed as well.
