Rapid development of global informatization has pushed forward the technology invocations and the application of new techniques on various fields. As a new auto-identification technique, RFID, which has become an effective weapon on enhancing efficiency of supply chain management, is now hitting the fancy of more and more people by its outstanding advantages, such as non-contact reading, non-easy damaged rapid speed of reading and writing, etc.Applying RFID to the links of logistics circulation can thoroughly change the traditional management pattern of supply chain, and can maximally enhance the efficiency of enterprises. Introducing RFID can not only make information acquisition more efficient, but also brings new generation of information interchange pattern between enterprises, which enables article tracking and information sharing within the supply chain and makes the information of the articles be seen anytime and anywhere during their life cycles.This paper starts from RFID technology by presenting the survey of RFID and logistics informatization. It discusses the related theories and knowledge such as RFID, Web Service, XML, UML etc. , and analyses the differences between traditional operation flow and RFID-based operation flow of logistics. And then, it gives the discourse on business flow, data flow and information flow from requirement, data and architecture, and probes into the use case model, ER model of database structure as well as system implementation of RFID based application system. Finally, it gives a 3 tier RFID based data model and an object tracking solution.
