Because of the rapid development of the computer technology and the new theory, modern biological feature recognition makes progress quickly in recent years. At the present time, the study about biological feature recognition focus on the Singlebiometric-Systems and have made a lot of achievements. At the same time there are still lots of problems which the Singlebiometric-Systems can not overcome, then we start the Multibiometric-Systems study. The Multibiometric-Systems base on fingerprint and hand vein was suggested and realized by this paper.Multibiometric Systems based on fingerprint and hand vein mostly divides into two aspects like vein recognition system and fingerprint recognition system, as a result of mature about fingerprint recognition system of HF1000, the emphases of this paper is working over some key algorithmics in vein recognition system and the fusion of .fingerprint and hand vein.This paper's key algorithmics in hand vein recognition system mainly focus on three difficult aspects about pretreatment algorithmics,feature extract algorithmics,match algorithmics of the hand vein image. In vein image enhance aspect, this paper suggest a kind of image enhance method based on Retinex theory. In vein image segmentation aspect, this paper mention two segmentation algorithmics, such as image segmentation based on boundary and optimization path segmentation based on edge. In the part of hand vein image feature extraction and matching, many methods are tried, including the K-L transform method, the feature extraction and matching method based on feature points , the template matching method based on the feature moment. We find the there advantages and disadvantage by analyzing the experiment. For relative merits of the three methods, in this paper, a new method of hand vein recognition is developed based on the decision stage. The error brought by the single feature is avoided. Some ideas about the vein recognition are proposed finally. In the end of this paper, we propose a new method to fuse the fingerprint recognition system and hand vein recognition system. At the same time, a new method had been proposed to normalize the parameter of the image quality evaluation. Then we have designed and realized the Multibiometric-Systems base on vein and fingerprint.
