With the development of processor, the control system is more and more perfect. Not only it required to contain a complex control circuit, but also requires a corresponding algorithm. Therefore, the traditional model of single processor is not competent. Against this backdrop, this paper presents a dual-processor applying in embedded system design. According to the application target, we select DSP as processor of the system.DSP is a programmable SCM which is designed to deal with digital signal. It is also a combines of modern electronic, computer technology and the signal processing technology. Due to its unique structure of bus and special digital signal processing instructions, it has infiltrated into various application areas. According to the difference of application occasions, the type generally can be divided into fixed-point DSP chip and floating point DSP.In order to guarantee the ability of controlling and efficiency of operation, we has selected the way which fixed-point DSP and floating point DSP unifies, which separately takes the system the control and the operation core. Among them, TMS320VC33 is primarily responsible for calculating data, and TMS320VC5402 is mainly responsible for the input and output control. The two chips form a combination of complementary advantages, which can give full play to their high light.Because inertial technology has characteristics of independence, it does not need to introduce external information to realize the guidance and navigation. So it more and more causes the attention of the personages of various fields widely. Even it is considered to be the most rising kind of navigation system. The virtues of simple structure, high reliability, low cost and easy maintenance makes SINS to be the one of which develops rapidly.However, due to processor constraints, SINS which has high expectations for the size and weight has no major progress for a long time. For this reason it also limits the prospects for the development and application areas. In this context, it was proposed that the miniaturization study of the strapdown system.Research shows that this program is effective in improving calculating speed and accuracy of the computation, reducing the size and cost of power, and has a better value, market prospects and military significance.
