With the development of times and the process of technology, the directional drilling technology that is important in oil exploitation has got more and more extensive application in the field of rock drilling, tunnel infixing, underwater position-setting, city construction etc. Data information of the directional drilling technology includes rake angle, azimuth and tool angle, measured by inclinometer with drilling. Based on the theory study, a intelligent inclinometer is developed for practical require.The intelligent inclinometer is one of the tri-freedom device, which is composed of accelerometer, magnetic sensor and SCM (Single Chip Micyoco). The article clearly introduces the inclinometer theory of earth gravity measurement based on three-axis orthogonal accelerometers and earth magnetic measurement based on three-axis orthogonal magnetic sensors, then deduces the math model and calculation method of rake angle, azimuth and tool angle. Furthermore, the paper also introduces the operating principle of accelerometer and magnetic sensor besides instruction design of inclinometer, which employs interior single chip to collect, transmit, process and save the data. The inclinometer employs temperature sensor to measure environment temperature, which used to sensor temperature expiation, and this is essential in the amending process of calculating stance. The type of the single chip is SST89E564RD. It includes watchdog to watch the running of CPU in order to ensure the reliable work of the program. By considering narrow space of the well, we selected serial chip as A/D and data memories. In this way the resource is saved and lining of the hardware becomes simple. So the placement of wire can be easy when the PCB board is narrow.It is technical puzzle of directional drilling that communications between underground and ground. The signal transport rout has two: wire and wireless. Recently, mud pulse modulate means of wireless has been paid attention, but the rare data flow and the complicated under ground magnetic restrict the use of electromagnetic in well logging. The current transmitter has been more and more extensively used in industry condition, because of its stronger anti-jamming and farer transmission distance. Considering the main characteristic of our system: practicability and cheap, current transmitter was selected as transmission means of our system. The article analyses the method of long distance transmutation, dentally discusses work principle of current transmitter, designs interface circuit of current transmitter. The method of current transmitter interfacing with RS-232 in this article greatly advances the ability of serial communication and anti-disturbance.The design of up ground monitor system is one of the most important part in the whole design. We employ Delphi as software plat to monitor and display by using multithreading.This article researches the intelligent inclinometer from hardware aspect and software aspect separately, analyses error to the system, and compensates mainly errors by software method.
