Chinese Metaphor Automatic Processing Based On Hownet

In recent years, the research of Chinese metaphor are focusedj on more and more, the researchers are distinctly convinced that metaphor is the central of thought and language. Based on this , if considered on the point of view of computational linguistics and natural language processing, the processing of metaphor is still important,because the automatic abstracting for documents and machine translation are based on metaphor comprehension. The research of Chinese computational metaphor is beginning recently, and the research of Chinese metaphor based on semantic is a hot spot currently.During a lot of researches on methods for metaphor processing, by analyzing the Characteristic of Chinese, we propose the method for Chinese metaphor comprehension automaticly. The main work is showed in the following.Firstly, we propose the model of Chinese metaphor processing.based on semantic analyzing.Secondly, we present a method for metaphor recognizing automaticly based on graph modeling, and the method can recognize the integrated structure of the metaphor sentence.Finally,we do some improvement on the syntax and semantic base—Hownet so that we can easily search and easily compute semantic on it.we propose the concept of micro-ontology(MO) and the method of designing MO based on semantic computing and clustering, and then we implement the Chinese metaphor comprehension by semantic mapping of MO.
